Utility pressure gauges are a common commodity product. Most manufacturers source them from the Pacific Rim (China, Taiwan and India). These gauges are typically specified by OEMs for compressed-air and water systems that do not require high accuracy (typically 3-2-3 %) or extended service life. The installation environment is usually non-corrosive and dry.
Utility gauges perform best when system pressure remains relatively constant. Applications with continuous pressure fluctuations are better served by a liquid-filled gauge.
Process connections are copper alloy. Cases may be painted steel, plastic, plated steel or stainless steel.
These are not considered industrial-grade instruments. When a utility-grade gauge is the appropriate choice, we can supply them at competitive cost and usually ship from stock.
