Titan is a customer-centric industrial pipeline strainer manufacturer founded by industry veterans. Today they operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lumberton, North Carolina that enables them to produce custom fabricated strainers with ASME Code Stamp.

 

Titan’s breadth of pipeline strainer products is similar to O.C. Keckley’s. Their cast Y and simplex basket strainer designs are available in higher pressure classes than Eaton currently supports (600#, 900#, 1500# and 2500#). Some of their cast strainer models are also offered in larger sizes than either Eaton or O.C. Keckley. A strong advantage of Titan is their investment in stocked castings — it is unusual for them not to have stock, even for large sizes such as 20" simplex basket strainers.

 

While O.C. Keckley, Eaton and Titan all source their foundry castings from countries such as China, Taiwan and Korea, Titan is the most proactive by far in maintaining inventory in the USA.

 

Custom fabricated strainers are manufactured in their USA factory in Lumberton, NC using advanced manufacturing techniques that include water jet cutting, robotic pipe cutting and various CNC machines. Their robotic pipe cutting machine can prepare a pipe for welding in about 10 minutes — a task that would take 5–6 hours using manual labor.

 

We began working with Titan because they offer “made in the USA” products that are competitively priced and usually in stock. The personnel are genuinely focused on excellent service and make you feel like a member of their company family.

 

It is not automatic that a given size and type of strainer is equivalent across brands. When we assist with an application we review all of your design criteria and then recommend the brand and model that is the best fit.
