PTFE, PVDF and PPL start-up strainers (also called temporary strainers) are used during the commissioning of new or modified pipelines. They capture construction debris, rust, scale and other particles that could damage pumps, valves, instruments or downstream processes. Once the system is clean and stable, the temporary strainer is removed.
These non-alloy designs are intended for aggressive liquids and for use in PTFE, PVDF or PPL piping systems where metal strainers are not suitable.
The strainers are designed for efficient particle capture with minimal pressure drop and are easy to install and remove between flanges.
