Steam Jacketed Simplex Strainers

Steam jacketed simplex strainers help keep the process fluid at the desired temperature. The Eaton Model 72SJ can handle up to 100 PSI of steam pressure. The 72SJ is offered for 1" to 8" pipelines as listed below. We can also custom fabricate larger steam-jacketed basket strainers for pipelines up to 60".

Strainer baskets are typically perforated or mesh-lined and made of 316 stainless steel or Monel. The part numbers in the table below refer to the strainer body only.

You can estimate the clean differential pressure by selecting the strainer connection size, entering your flow rate (GPM), entering specific gravity if other than water (sg of water = 1), and selecting the viscosity range if other than water (SSU of water = 30).
