Fluoropolymer Lined Basket Strainers

Eaton Model 72L fluoropolymer-lined simplex strainers for 1" to 6" pipelines are designed to handle fluids that would ordinarily be too aggressive for a carbon-steel strainer and whose pressure or temperature requirements rule out an all-plastic strainer. The fluoropolymer lining is not a coating; it is a fully molded, one-piece, 3 mm thick lining for durability. The Model 72L is inert to strong mineral acids, inorganic bases, halogens and metal-salt solutions. Carboxylic acids, anhydrides, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, esters, chlorocarbons and classic polymer solvents also have little effect on the lining. Service temperatures can reach 300°F in many applications.

Perforated strainer baskets are coated with the same fluoropolymer material. Perforated or mesh-lined baskets in Monel or Hastelloy C are available when required.

You can calculate the approximate clean differential pressure drop by selecting the strainer connection size, entering your flow rate (GPM), entering specific gravity if other than water (sg of water = 1) and selecting the viscosity range if other than water (SSU of water = 30).
