The Keckley Company is a family-owned manufacturer located in Skokie, Illinois. They provide friendly, personalized service. Factory Direct Pipeline Products has worked with Keckley as a distributor since January 2009.

 

Keckley offers a complete line of cast and fabricated pipeline strainers in addition to industrial process valves (check, knife gate, float, diaphragm and pressure relief). Factory Direct Pipeline Products initially began working with Keckley after Eaton divested its cast iron and bronze Y-strainer product line (that portion of the Eaton line was sold to Titan).

 

Keckley offers the broadest Y-strainer product line, including flanged pressure classes 600#, 900#, 1500# and 2500# that are not offered by Eaton. They also offer cast simplex basket strainers in the 300# pressure class in bronze, carbon steel and 316 stainless steel—designs not available from Eaton—so those products have been incorporated into our website as well.

 

With a Hayward/Eaton background, we rely on Keckley as an alternate source for products not offered by Eaton or when Eaton does not have stock. In many cases Keckley has inventory when lead time is a critical factor.

 

Our technical understanding of pipeline strainers enables us to properly compare different brands and styles so customers can make an informed choice with emphasis on performance for a given application. Two strainers made from the same material and having the same connection size and type do not necessarily have the same clean differential pressure drop or open-area ratio. Those factors directly affect operating costs, personnel exposure to process fluids, and downtime.

 

Keckley valves complement our overall pipeline strainer offering. Suction diffusers and check valves are examples of items commonly purchased together with pipeline strainers for new pump systems.
