In addition to the Tefzel ETFE baskets above, we can offer finer mesh made of PEEK material, so if you require 12 to 155 micron filtration, please contact us and we'll need to learn more about your application.
PVDF basket strainers have a slanted basket design similar to our other non-alloy strainers, however they also have an o-ring seal between the strainer basket and strainer body, which enables us to retain finer solids.
The differential pressure calculator can be used to estimate the clean differential pressure for your specific application. The recommended fluid velocity minimizes the effects of valve closure and pump start-up or shut-down. The reason for the clean differential pressure limitation is to maximize the time between basket cleaning. Once the differential pressure is ≥ 5 PSI the basket should be cleaned.
Calculator Instructions:
1) Select strainer size.
2) Input the design flow rate in GPM.
3) Input the Specific Gravity of the fluid if other than water.
4) Select the Viscosity if other than water.
5) Click the "Update" button.
