Standard Materials

• 304 and 304L series stainless steel

• 316 and 316L series stainless steel

• 260 series brass

• 400 and K-500 series Monel

• Hastelloy® C-276 (also referred to as Alloy C276, Hastelloy C and Inconel® C-276)

• Titanium

• PVC and CPVC (for Hayward Industrial simplex, duplex and Y strainers only)

• PTFE and Tefzel (for Micromold basket and Y strainers only)

Strainer Basket Coatings and Finishes
We can provide strainers coated with Halar, Tefzel and Teflon as well as electropolishing and passivation to your specifications.

Standard Mesh for Strainer Baskets and Screens

Most mesh strainer baskets and screens have an underlying 5/32" perforated substrate to provide support for the mesh layer.

We typically suggest sizing your retention size to approximately 1/3 of the maximum acceptable particle size to account for potential particle agglomeration after the filtration device.
