Clear PVC Y strainers enable visual confirmation of  flow rate and element clogging.  Although abrasive particulate will reduce the clarity over time, you will still be able to confirm flow and notice excessive air.  Hayward's clear PVC Y strainers are offered with threaded, socket (glue) and flanged connections for PVC piping up to 2" in size.  The socket and threaded connections can also be provided with true union connections to simplify installation and replacement of the strainer body if it becomes damaged.  The interior screen is made of perforated PVC and can also be provided in 316SS with perforated or mesh lined retention.

 

Hayward's clear PVC Y strainer consists of three components: the body, the screen and the screen chamber cover which has a captured o-ring for a positive seal.  The hex shaped chamber cover is easily removed because not much torque is required for sealing due to the o-ring design.

 

Most orders ship directly from the manufacturer in Clemmons NC within 1-2 days to reduce lead time and shipping costs.  Hayward clear PVC Y strainers have a 2 year warranty.

• The standard screen perforation is 1/32" although you may substitute 1/16", 1/8" or 3/16" perforated screen in lieu of standard 1/32" perforation for no charge.

• Standard strainer screens are made of PVC.

• ½" thru 1½" Clear PVC Y Strainers are supplied with both socket, threaded and flanged connections.
