PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

Used for chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water, deionized water, chemical drainage, DWV piping and irrigation. Generally inert to most mineral acids, bases, salts and paraffinic hydrocarbons. Not recommended for chlorinated or aromatic hydrocarbons, esters or ketones. Excellent weathering resistance. Max working temperature: 140°F. Connections: solvent cement, threaded or flanged.

CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride)

Similar chemical resistance to PVC with higher temperature capability. Max working temperature: 190°F at 60 PSI. Excellent for hot corrosive liquids and hot/cold water distribution. Connections: solvent cement, threaded or flanged.

GFPP (Glass Filled Polypropylene)

Lightweight with high chemical resistance and better long-term temperature resistance than PVC/CPVC. Max working temperature: 250°F. Used in chemical processing, plating, chilled/deionized water, drainage and irrigation. Connections: threaded or flanged.

PP (Polypropylene)

Most versatile chemical resistance among common thermoplastics. Superior for concentrated acetic acid and hydroxides. Not compatible with strong oxidizers or high concentrations of sulfuric, nitric or hydrofluoric acids. Max working temperature: 200°F. Connections: fusion weld, threaded or flanged.

EASTAR

Clear polyester thermoplastic with excellent impact strength, chemical resistance and high clarity. Used in chemical processing and ultra-pure industries.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

Elastomer for water, steam, dilute acids, dilute alkalis and alcohols. Continuous service to 300°F. Not recommended for petroleum oils or diester lubricants.

FPM / FKM (Fluorocarbon Rubber)

High temperature elastomer (max 400°F). Recommended for petroleum oils, diester lubricants, halogenated hydrocarbons, acids and vacuum. Not recommended for ketones, amines, anhydrous ammonia or hot hydrofluoric/chlorosulfonic acids.
